The word "ENGINEER" was derived from a latin word "INGENIARE",which mean to devise in the sence of construct or craftmanship.
Several other words are related to ingeniare which include ingenuity,the forerunners of engineers,practical artists and craftmen,preceded mainly by trial and error,yet thinking and combined with imagination produced many marvelous devices.The first challenge to human civilisation started when human decided to stop nomadic life and live in caves,tree shades and other natural canopies that offerd shelter from harsh weather.....
The challenges of plant demonstration and weapon for defence against wild animals and human enemies were the first to meet him.
Therefore,all this ingenuity was greed towards meeting upto those challenges.Early tools developed to meet up to these challenges were the first product of enginuity and could be the first impact of engineering.
