in our last tutorial we stopped at observation,and now insha Allah we are going to continue with interview as a way of collecting data.
Interview:is a technique used for collecting reliable and valid information from others directly.It is a form of verbal responses from respondents.
Types Of Interview
I.Structured interview.
¤standardized and very formal.
¤thesame questions are presented to various respondents in thesame order.
¤the choice of alternative responses is restricted to a pre-determined list.
II.Unstructed Interview.
¤is very flexible and few restrictions are placed on a respondent's answer.
¤respondents are encouraged to express thoughts freely.
¤orde of prepared question could be altered to suit the respondents.
III.Non-directive depth interview.
¤respondent is allowed to talk freely and fully on a particular topic.
¤the interviewer serves as a good listener and only interjects occationally with encouraging words,or ask a question to fill in the gaps and round-off the discussion.
IV.Focused Interview.
¤respondent is allowed to make expressions freely and completely but along the line outlined by the interviewer on some pre-determined relevant issues.
