Methods of collectin data.
Data and information may be collected in three ways:
1.observation.
2.interview.
3.questionnaire.

Observation:is a direct means of studying the behaviour of things.When observing things,what is seen depend on the observer's interest,which determines his pattern of selective observation.

Types of observation
1.uncontrolled observation.
¤there are no definite laid down pattern,rules or procedures.
¤observation must be noted from unexpected events e.g. Earthquake,eclipse of the sun,sudden political event,e.t.c.
¤it is trying to answer:
-identify the subject or specimen to observe?
-where to observe?
-what to observe?
-how long to observe?
2.controlled observation.
¤the observer has to determine what aspect of the activities observed are relevant to the project.
¤develop a specific plan for recording data.
¤conditions of observation are tobe known so as to know the limitations of accuracy of the data or to repeat the observations.
¤control measures should be set because itis difficult to control the objects under observation.
